I fell in love with this song many years ago and it haunts my memory every now and then.
I just watched a video of this song sung by Charlotte Church where the creator used absolutely beautiful visuals, fade ins & outs, and accurate wording of the lyrics throughout in a nice font.
The person who submitted the lyrics to this song to this site did a wonderful job. I only found one word to be corrected and that would be in the 3rd verse, 1st line, 1st word. The word should be "A" not "The" so that it leads into "A ship there is..."
I will enjoy this song and it's melody all my life.

I'd rather sing a patriotic song about my country than the national anthem we have - nothing against the Queen, no disrespect for her, but I'd rather sing a song that really get's my heart pumping and the national anthem just doesnt do it! Jerusalem, Rule Britannia or even the first verse of I vow to thee my country - sits better with me!
