Certain People I Know Lyrics - Morrissey

Review The Song (1)

I take the cue from
Certain people I know
I use the cue
And then I
Hand it on to you

And when I swing it
So, it catches his eye ...
(Weren't you there ?
- You'd have died !)

I trust the views of
Certain people I know
They look at Danger
And they

Their clothes are Imitation

(Don't you find this absurd ?)

I'd hate to be like
Certain people I know
They break their necks
And can't afford to
Get them fixed

Ah, they'd sacrifice all
Of their principles for
anything cashable
I do believe it's terrible

Oh, wo, wo
Ah, ah, ah, ah
Oh, wo, wo
Ah, ah, ah, ah
Oh, wo, wo

laughter comes after despair | Reviewer: Rich Rhodes | 3/23/13

Basically, if you are' lucky' enough to survive lots and lots of seemingly endless despair, suffering, misfortune, loneliness, and all the rest, you come to a point where nothing really matters or effects you in a human way anymore. You can laugh at things. At it all. And though there is a message here, even that is taken light heartedly in the lyrics that cry but laugh at the same time. If that makes sense. Well it does to me. Oh well.
