Cara Dillon Lyrics
Cara Dillon seems to have seduced the entire nation in just
a couple of short, breathtaking, eventful years. Make that
several nations, for among the rare ingredients of
herirresistibly natural personality and mesmerising ability
to relate a great story in song, is an all-embracing
quality that defies borders, cultures and even languages.
After twiddling their thumbs tied to a record company
intent on turning them into pop stars for longer than they
care to remember, Cara and her partner Sam Lakeman finally
baled out to do their own More...

Review about Black Is the Colour | Reviewer: Al
------ About the song Black Is the Colour performed by Cara DillonThis song is about a man who's true love has died and is now buried. The singer loves the ground she is buried in and misses her badly, so much so that he is wishing that he was himself dead so that he could be with his true love again.
He thinks about her hair, lips, smile and hands and all the things he loved about her and would die 10,000 time just to be with her again.
It's a lovely song & no doubt if you had ever felt the authors pain when he wrote this song you would understand it's true meaning.

------ About the song There Were Roses performed by Cara DillonI Think that this song is so sad but it would give you hope in a time of need. When My brother was murdered for being a catholic, i didn't know why someone should be killed for their beliefs. For a while i was unstable and didn't know what to do but then i listened to this song and i found the strength to move on.I Still think about my brother everyday and i owe it all to this song that im able to not let grief over take me.Amazing song and beautifully sung.

------ About the song Black Is the Colour performed by Cara DillonCara Dillon has an amazingly beautiful voice - this song is a folk song - it's a story - Cara is the storyteller - it's not her story, but it is a story we can all identify with because we can all tune into the raw emotion felt by the author, whoever the object of your affection might be.
An international treasure | Reviewer: Kamran
------ About the song There Were Roses performed by Cara DillonJust saw Kara live at Womad at the weekend - a fantastic performance, fantastic voice and a lovely pleasant personality. She did this song as an encore, but it wasn't the best one she did - she's got a very good repertoire and I will be definitely buying her CD
