Camisado Lyrics - Panic! At The Disco

Review The Song (65)

The I.V. and your hospital bed
This was no accident
This was a therapeutic chain of events

This is the scent of dead skin on a linoleum floor
This is the scent of quarantine wings in a hospital
It's not so pleasant
And it's not so conventional
It sure as hell ain't normal
But we deal, we deal

The anesthetic never set in and I'm wondering where
The apathy and urgency is that I thought I phoned in
It's not so pleasant.
And it's not so conventional
It sure as hell ain't normal
But we deal, we deal

Just sit back, just sit back
sponsored links
Just sit back and relax
Just sit back, just sit back
Just sit back and relapse again

Can't take the kid from the fight
take the fight from the kid
Sit back, relax
Sit back, relapse again
Can't take the kid from the fight
take the fight from the kid
Just sit back, just sit back

You're a regular decorated emergency
You're a regular decorated emergency

This is the scent of dead skin on a linoleum floor
This is the scent of quarantine wings in a hospital
It's not so pleasant.
And it's not so conventional
It sure as hell ain't normal

Can't take the kid from the fight
take the fight from the kid
Just sit back, just sit back
Sit back, sit back, relax, relapse
Sit back, sit back, bababada
You can take the kid out of the fight

You're a regular decorated emergency
The bruises and contusions will remind me what you did when you wake
You've earned a place atop the ICU's hall of fame
The camera caught you causing a commotion on the gurney again

This song is undoubtly amazing. I have to admit, I came across Panic on RB2, and fell in love,so I looked them up. Years later,I'm still listening to this band...because they are just that awesome. Camisado is just a beautiful song, just like the rest of the album. As I write this, I'm actually listening to this song. It's like...a giant poem, wrapped up in an unexplainable pattern in which only people who listen will understand. Pure poetry, bro. If you don't pay attention to the lyrics, your missing out on a lot.
Unlike newer songs that have meaningless lyrics about dumb stuff,(all songs now are the same. Modern mix,at least.),this song means something. It has a deep inner meaning I guess? And that is why I love them, and their music. THE END.

I'm realizing that no much people use this site a review than the idiots that use it just to say "I love it, He's so hot" or that kind of bullshit... Hell, get a fucking bone out of here. We don't care if you're horny, we care the lyrics and the REAL reviews, not teen things. PATD have amazing lyrics but your hornyness is fucking ruin the poetri!.

Amazing | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/20/11

I have only just got into Panic! At The Disco and I started by listening to all of A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. I love all the songs on the album, but this was one of the songs that really stood out to me. I looked on the internet and when I found out what it really meant, I nearly cry when I hear it now (which is quite often as I usually have the album on repeat).

The song is so beautiful, and to make a song beautiful in this music style is a real achievement. It is catchy and easy to sing a long to, but if you just sit and listen to it, it can really make you think about things.

Ryan Ross is an amazing songwriter, and to use something so personal must be a really hard thing to do but it resulted in something amazing.

Panic at the disco xx | Reviewer: Jill | 11/24/09

I wish Ryan all the best i really do with his new band he is after all an amazing lyric writer. Yet however =s i will be sticking to Panic at the disco with Spencer and Brendon. I just preffer the music taste with them compared to John and Ryan.

This song is so sad :( ive recently started to listen to patd again i sort of went of them on the second album but i love all their old music and the two new ones Patd have produced. That being New Perspective and Oh Glory i can't wait for that album i'm literally addicted to the demo of Oh Glory ha.

Utterly Inspiring | Reviewer: A girl | 10/15/09

Ryan never ceases to amaze me. I can honestly say that! He is an amazing writter that I might willingly kowtow to! Haha but moonlightly aside(Build God, Then We'll Talk quote) 'Camisado' is a gorgueous song that I almost cried to when I worked out its meaning. It almost remimds me of me & my dad...aside from the alcholism & abuse...we give eachother grief and pain but we love eachother too much. Well Done Mr. George Ryan Ross III, I salute you :)
peices out

Teh Review | Reviewer: Mariah | 10/10/09

I really like this song, and yes, I do agree, Ryan Ross is an excellent writer. This makes A Fever You Can't Sweat Out my favorite album. The very first time you listen to this song you won't automatically understand it. This song is like a poem, you have to listen to it a few times to understand the purpose. I also love the word play they use. Panic! At The Disco is the best Alternative band, well in my opinion they are.

Pretty Odd, it was good. I wish they would go back to their old style of music they displayed on A Fever You Can't Sweat Out.

Camisado - A song many can relate to. | Reviewer: Amie | 7/25/09

I bought Panic! At The Disco's A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, merely because it was on offer. I recognised I Write Sins, Not Tragedies immediately. I let the CD play, and Camisado came on.

I paused, just sitting down and ignoring the world, I listened to Camisado and a tear leaked from my eye. This song relates to me so well.

Now I listen to Camisado at least once a day. It's part of my process of recovering from historical abuse as a child.

Now I am a devoted Panic! At The Disco fan.

The Delivery | Reviewer: Kalyx | 7/15/09

OkayOkay,
yeah sure they use a lot of Palahniuk refrences because ryan probly adores him, hah. No, but seriously its not about that.
So what? The delivery of the song/lyrics matters more then if they based it off of a literary masterpeice or not.
Did anyone stop to wonder if mayb the point of the album was to essencially make a cover of a book? this isn't Chuck Palahniuks work, its ryans and brendans interpritation of his work. why?
probly because they are really well written books with crazy-realistic situations. its about life, and a great example of it.
idk about you, but I belive
"Can't take the kid from the fight/take the fight from the kid"
is way better then...
"pain without love/ pain I can't get enough/ pain I like it rough/I'd rather have pain then nothing at all"
one of Panic's songs could say that exact meaning but more tastefully.
I personally loathe people who come on here and go "I LOVE PANIC! RYAN IS SOOO TOTTALY FRGGIN HAWT!!!"
this site is not for professing your love twords them. we get it. its super shallow.
its about the beautiful music, and what it means to you. the members of the band don't deserve that. that's why it kills me that they are so main-stream. they would be a great underground band that dosent have pre-teens treating them like the freking jonas brothers. get a clue!

Love It, Love it!!!! | Reviewer: Erica! | 4/23/09

I love P!ATD!!!! They're the best. I have a different taste in music and I LOVE THIS!!!! Ryan is an amazing song writer. I love these people. I couldn't live without their songs. Talk about depressing! Hahahah!! Check out all their songs and LOVE them. (that's not suggestion.)

I ADORE PATD :) | Reviewer: Cristie | 4/2/09

Ryan wrote this song about his father who passed away awhile ago, which makes it an extremely emotional song.
This song is amazing! So is "Nails For Breakfast, Tacks For Snacks"
Definitely my favorite songs that Ryan has ever composed. :)

honestly | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/17/08

honestly, if anyone ever gets around to reading this, I'm a total Punk Rock fan, not Emo, but I personnally find both types of songs that P!ATD makes great, I dunno, like the one kind, the more driven stuff like "Lying is the most fun...", but "Nine in the Afternoon" is really catchy, too. I don't know what everyone has with the originality, it's hard to be original these days, 'cause all the good stuff's allready been done, so i think it's a great idea to use catchy sentances from authers and movies and reusing them. Some of the Pretty.Odd stuff is a bit too emo/weird/mushy for my taste, but it certainly is worth listening to. Does anyone else think that "behind the sea" sounds a lot like Beatles style?

Completely and Utterly Touching | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/31/08

I think that this is my FAVORITE song that they have written. The thought put into the lyrics is amazing. It kind of sort of reminds me of Ryan's dad, like what I've heard about him and stuff. This song will always have a spot in my heart. As will Ryan. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!
