I didn't know who he was back then, but after listening to the soundtrack while watching the movie (in the theater--yeah, it was a long time ago), I had to find out who's incredible voice that was! I went right out and got the CD! It is one of my all time favorites. I haven't been this excited about any singer since I discovered Simon & Garfunkel in the 7th grade (our reading class studied their lyrics, which prompted me to look up their music, well needless to say, I bought all their albums--there were only albums/45's back then!).
