------ About the song Anthems For A Seventeen Year-Old Girl performed by Broken Social SceneI can't help but relate it to myself, but I hear this song and relate it to THE ex. Everyone has one, and its a life changing experience. I feel I was the rotten one, and she loved me for that. As hard as she tried to accept and embrace all the difference I had to offer, it just didn't work out. When she left, she got all dolled up and went out with new friends and found the one she's about to marry. She's not coming back. No matter how I try to better myself, it makes no difference and we frequently went for spirited drives in the car, and I haven't been able to appreciate it the same since. Parked. No one to talk to, dreaming of her. Beautiful song, but I hope one day I wont be wed to one dreaming, in love with another.

------ About the song Anthems For A Seventeen Year-Old Girl performed by Broken Social SceneI heard this song for the first time because of Scot Pilgrim Against the World's OST. Then I set out to dig material from Broken Social Scene and couldn't find (yet) such an incredibly moving and lovely song as this one.
If any of you are in the same frame of mind and won't care for a language barrier, please consider listening to Soutaisei Riron, a japanese band with songs as jigoku sensei, our music and more. Maybe I'm in a depressive mood, but I find this kind of music as soothing as velvet.

------ About the song Anthems For A Seventeen Year-Old Girl performed by Broken Social SceneTo me, this song is about an unpopular girl (a 'rotten one') who begins to dress up and put on makeup to fit in with the in crowd. The narrator is lamenting about her friend's selling out for the chance at popularity. I'm a guy, but I think we can all relate to this in one sense from our high school days.
you have to listen to this song! | Reviewer: shaima
------ About the song Cause = Time performed by Broken Social SceneThe beat for one is really something that will pull you in.
It's mellow, strong and relaxing.
The lyrics are also a reason to like the song.
They actually make sense and you can relate them to society.
"They all need to be the cause"
I imagine this to be about people who are really adamant about something and make it a huge deal.
But that's just my interpretation.
Nice song, listen to be amazed.

------ About the song Anthems For A Seventeen Year-Old Girl performed by Broken Social SceneI love this song. It's gotta be just my opinion that the story is about a troubled girl, then she chose to be all bad. To be a prostitute, maybe? And this is to be said by her friend (or boyfriend) who wouldn't expect it to be this far even from her and feel sorry that she has to leave everybody, family, and friends and her 'old life' for the new one of her own.
but anyway, it's rocking beautifully.
sorry for my 'third-world-country' english.

------ About the song KC Accidental performed by Broken Social Scenei regret not listening to "you forgot it in people" until now. i was always hooked on i'm still your fag and anthems for a seventeen year old girl, but i never took the time to listen to the whole cd until now, and it is probably the best record i've heard thus far. kc accidental is such a beautiful song, along with shampoo suicide and so many others.
fantastic.

------ About the song Backyards performed by Broken Social SceneI believe the first line is "broken boys look good sitting on their shelves" kind of referring it to broken "toys" looking better on their shelves. That is just what I heard anyways. Great song by the way! one of my favorites off of Bee Hives :)
