How can you see into my eyes like open doors?
Leading you down into my core where I've become so numb,
Without a soul (without)
My spirit sleeping somewhere cold
Until you find it there and lead it back....home
(Wake me up)
Wake me up inside
(I Can't Wake up)
Wake me up inside
(Save me)
Call my name and save me from the dark
(Wake me up)
Bid my blood to run
(I can't wake up)
Before I come undone
(Save me)
Save me from the nothing I've become
Now that I know that I'm without
You can't just leave me
Breathe~ into me and make me real
Bring me to life
(Wake me up)
Wake me up inside
(I Can't Wake up)
Wake me up inside
(Save me)
Call my name and save me from the dark
(Wake me up)
Bid my blood to run
(I can't wake up)
Before I come undone
(Save me)
Save me from the nothing I've become
(Bring me to life)
I've been living a lie,there's nothing inside
(Bring me to life)
Frozen inside without your touch,
Without your love,darling
Only you are the life, among the dead
All this time I can't believe I couldn't see
Kept in the dark but you were there in front of me
I've been sleeping a thousand years it seems
Got to open my eyes to everything
Without a thought, without a voice, without a soul
Don't let me die here
There must be something more!
Bring me to life
(Wake me up)
Wake me up inside
(I Can't Wake up)
Wake me up inside
(Save me)
Call my name and save me from the dark
(Wake me up)
Bid my blood to run
(I can't wake up)
Before I come undone
(Save me)
Save me from the nothing I've become
(Bring me to life)
I've been living a lie, there's nothing inside!
(Bring me to life.)

Review about Bring Me to Life this isn't about christ | Reviewer: katherine | 6/30/09
this is a great song but it is not about god or any religion...it's about finding that one person...your soulmate who "brings you to live" when you meet them...like some people say 'the first day of the rest of our lives' when they get married...same principal here after meeting that special someone...saying they can't live without them because they've brought so much into their life and made them see and feel things they hadn't before....and it is true...when you fall in love you do view things different.

you are such a fucking idiot.
everyone copes differently, and everybody's perception on life is unique.
even if you have a loving family and friends, its not going to stop some people from depression and pessimism.
the threshold for pain isnt the same for everyone.
even if someone is surrounded by people, they can still feel alone.
just because they arent homeless and broke, doesnt mean they cant feel pain.
so go fuck yourself.

It's just unbelieveable to how many people can connect with it. I know people who are fighting for this country and enjoy this song, and I got through a break up a year ago and wanted so bad to be taken back, but was saved by my current one and only, who saved me by being a shoulder to cry on. I love this band to death and I only hope they keep going up, up and up from here on. It's opened my eyes, and I know it'll open many other's. Peace out people, and take life a day at a time, some good's bound to come from it ya.

a song can touch people in different ways. they can see and feel the song and get emotional about it. it may relate to their lives in some way, not saying everyone has a shitty life or not; but still its beside the point. its a great song and should be seen as one. some people do have horrible lives and can really relate to this song others find it an inspiration or a realization for others. its their own opinion. so just dont call emo kids fags they're not fags. half of them arent even gay/bi or w/e they're straight. they go by the sterotype not the true understanding about things. so just lay off of them.
man some people are stupid | Reviewer: FallenAngel | 1/31/09

First of all: for the crazy Jesus freak, this isnt your Sunday gathering so save for then. Second Evanescence is NOT! a Christan band, they have sed repeatedly that they are not, yet people tend to associate them as a Christan band cuz they say God in their lyrics. k now that my rant is done, amazing band, amazing songs, this one is my fav hands down. :)
what the fuck is ur problem?? | Reviewer: krista | 1/5/09
whats wrong with all of you throwing stuff at people, that dosent even make sense? sure i know these are all mixed emotions, but some are like, oh my god!! think about what u say to others before you smack it in their face! words can really hurt people. plus u dont even know who these people are!! thats just being stupid
Great song. Ans to Anonymous, tI'm not going to say that my problems are worse than yours. I'm not going to say anything mean actually, because I don't know you, and I don't know if you have some really bad shit going on in your life. Just don't act like nobody else has problems, and sometimes relating to a song helps. Sometimes a good song is all the support they are going to get.

Anonymous: You think you have a corner on suffering? People in suburbs have problems too, maybe not the same as you. Like what? Uh, let's see: parents who hit you and think you're only good enough to care for as long as you're perfect, bitchy preps viciously mocking you for what you are, and OCD to name a few.
Uh whoever said it was a bout God: No. Just... no. I mean... yeah, Evanescence isn't really a hardcore Christian band, se "Torniquet" and you'll know what I mean...

Anonymous, I'd like to waste a post on you but don't have the time, so I'll edit it for length and language.... yeah, you funny. Go and get stoned, now. By the way, yeah: My parents like getting drunk and scaring my siblings to death every weekend, my best friend's just gotten over considering suicide, my psycho ex-boyfriend is stalking me, and right now death don't sound so bad. Yeah, life rocks.
