It was also the biggest selling single of 1979 in the UK. The true author of Bright Eyes | Reviewer: Anna Maria | 3/11/09 Please correct:Mike Britt wrote the song Bright Eyes for the animated film version of Watership Down ('70). Recorded by Art Garfunkel, it reached number 1 in the UK singles chart. Paul Simon has nothing to do with this song.
