Breakfast at Tiffany's Lyrics - Deep Blue Something

Review The Song (10)

You'll say that we've got nothing in common
No common ground to start from
And we're falling apart
You'll say the world has come between us
Our lives have come between us
Still I know you just don't care

CHORUS:
And I said, "What about 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'?"
She said, "I think I remember the film, yes
and as I recall, I think, we both kinda liked it."
And I said, "Well, that's the one thing we've got."

I see you - the only one who knew me
And now your eyes see through me
I guess I was wrong
So what now? It's plain to see we're over,
And I hate when things are over -
When so much is left undone

CHORUS:
And I said, "What about 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'?"
She said, "I think I remember the film, yes
and as I recall, I think, we both kinda liked it."
And I said, "Well, that's the one thing we've got."

You'll say that we've got nothing in common
No common ground to start from
And we're falling apart
You'll say the world has come between us
Our lives have come between us
Still I know you just don't care

CHORUS:
And I said, "What about 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'?"
She said, "I think I remember the film, yes
and as I recall, I think, we both kinda liked it."
And I said, "Well, that's the one thing we've got."

And I said, "What about 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'?"
She said, "I think I remember the film, yes
and as I recall, I think, we both kinda liked it."
And I said, "Well, that's the one thing we've got."

And I said, "What about 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'?"
She said, "I think I remember the film, yes
and as I recall, I think, we both kinda liked it."
And I said, "Well, that's the one thing we've got."

dancing in the aisle | Reviewer: Tonie | 11/14/13

Heard this while shopping & found myself twirling around & dancing in the shopping aisle. Now it is stuck in my head....great song to sing along with .I am not sure it has great meaning but if it touches your heart...then great!!

Great Song!!!! | Reviewer: Phil Hodgkinson | 6/10/11

Known this song for ages..but just got my focus now....how often are a boy and a girl in a relationship with no common ground..or very little..but it may work...song has a simple sadness that is why its so great...also the New York connection grabs me too..and really the passion of the words work well with the dynamics of the music ...I really would like to perform this song myself......Love it !

The Lyrics are Simple. | Reviewer: Ms. Ariel. | 11/17/09

It's about two people, who can't find anything else in common besides the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's and then if you've ever watched that movie then the lyrics are much, much more simple. Do your freakin' research people.

this song, as far as i kno, is actually by matchbox 20. nd if its not, well then they did a better version. but i freakin love this song. the lyrics are simply complicated, nd i guess thats wat makes the song so good.

every time | Reviewer: moonstruck | 3/24/08

everytime i listen to this song, i almost cry, it simply tells my story with a girl i considered the love of my life, and guess what..she also didn't care,it has been years now..and it still hurt everytime i hear it..

best lyrics ever | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/15/07

it makes me happy and sad at the same time. it reminds me about love soo much and the girl i'm in love with now. i'm singing at it all day long!

breakfast at tiffany's | Reviewer: shaayna | 11/23/05

it'll get stuck in your head.
if you analyze the lyrics too much, it'll seem stupid.
its a true representation of two people trying to find a connection
its happy and not at the same time,
i just like singing along~

Good fair review | Reviewer: McNeely | 5/30/05

This song is a good one for people that are with their loved ones (ie. Girlfriend). It reminds me of good times.

Best lyrics | Reviewer: Sachin | 2/18/05

This are one of the best songs I ever heard. Its simplicity is its true greatness.

The worst song ever written | Reviewer: tom | 10/21/04

One of (if not the) worst songs ever written. ABout two people in a relationship who would be best staying single by the sound of it. Maybe its just the singer thats confused. Who knows. Who cares????
