You'll say that we've got nothing in common
No common ground to start from
And we're falling apart
You'll say the world has come between us
Our lives have come between us
Still I know you just don't care
CHORUS:
And I said, "What about 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'?"
She said, "I think I remember the film,
And as I recall, I think, we both kinda liked it."
And I said, "Well, that's the one thing we've got."
I see you - the only one who knew me
And now your eyes see through me
I guess I was wrong
So what now? It's plain to see we're over,
And I hate when things are over -
When so much is left undone
CHORUS:
And I said, "What about 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'?"
She said, "I think I remember the film,
And as I recall, I think, we both kinda liked it."
And I said, "Well, that's the one thing we've got."
You'll say that we've got nothing in common
No common ground to start from
And we're falling apart
You'll say the world has come between us
Our lives have come between us
Still I know you just don't care
CHORUS:
And I said, "What about 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'?"
She said, "I think I remember the film,
And as I recall, I think, we both kinda liked it."
And I said, "Well, that's the one thing we've got."
And I said, "What about 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'?"
She said, "I think I remember the film,
And as I recall, I think, we both kinda liked it."
And I said, "Well, that's the one thing we've got."
And I said, "What about 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'?"
She said, "I think I remember the film,
And as I recall, I think, we both kinda liked it."
And I said, "Well, that's the one thing we've got."

Review about Breakfast at Tiffany's The Lyrics are Simple. | Reviewer: Ms. Ariel. | 11/17/09
It's about two people, who can't find anything else in common besides the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's and then if you've ever watched that movie then the lyrics are much, much more simple. Do your freakin' research people.
this song, as far as i kno, is actually by matchbox 20. nd if its not, well then they did a better version. but i freakin love this song. the lyrics are simply complicated, nd i guess thats wat makes the song so good.

everytime i listen to this song, i almost cry, it simply tells my story with a girl i considered the love of my life, and guess what..she also didn't care,it has been years now..and it still hurt everytime i hear it..

it makes me happy and sad at the same time. it reminds me about love soo much and the girl i'm in love with now. i'm singing at it all day long!
breakfast at tiffany's | Reviewer: shaayna | 11/23/05
it'll get stuck in your head.
if you analyze the lyrics too much, it'll seem stupid.
its a true representation of two people trying to find a connection
its happy and not at the same time,
i just like singing along~
Good fair review | Reviewer: McNeely | 5/30/05
This song is a good one for people that are with their loved ones (ie. Girlfriend). It reminds me of good times.
This are one of the best songs I ever heard. Its simplicity is its true greatness.
The worst song ever written | Reviewer: tom | 10/21/04
One of (if not the) worst songs ever written. ABout two people in a relationship who would be best staying single by the sound of it. Maybe its just the singer thats confused. Who knows. Who cares????
