why did Bonnie change the lyrics? | Reviewer: Anonymous
------ About the song Sleep's Dark And Silent Gate performed by Bonnie Raitt

I love this song and I like Bonnie's version musically better than the original Jackson Browne version (esp. the change in melody on the very first line) but does anyone know, why did she change the lyrics from "I found my love too late" to "I found my love today" and then put the coda on the end? It changes the whole meaning of the song. There are also some changes in the "highway" verse.

------ About the song Louise performed by Bonnie Raitt

Why aren't the composers listed with their songs? Oversight or disrespect?
People give their lives to create the songs you print so freely, for Heaven's sake - list the writers with their songs!!!!!
You'll get tons more google hits from people who want to find out who wrote these great songs.

So true ... Too true | Reviewer: Anonymous
------ About the song I Don’t Want Anything To Change performed by Bonnie Raitt

So true ... too true. Once again, she hits the mark. Dead on.

If you've lived and loved, you've likely felt the emotions that this song reveals ... whether you want to admit it, or not.

Not wanting to admit this sort of empathy is, of course, the nature of this song's appeal. Yet the song itself encourages such unwilling honesty ... and then comforts in reward.

------ About the song Nick of Time performed by Bonnie Raitt

The very first time I heard this song, I was so taken with how it seemed to say what I'd been going through... this is one of those songs that will remain ageless throughout time, for as we grow older we will relate!

I remember hearing Bonnie talking about when she wrote this song on an interview... she said she had been in a writing slump and she went up in the mountains to a friend's cabin to hibernate and WRITE! Boy, did she ever!!!

Amen, Bonnie... sing me some blues!!!

THE LYRICS THAT WERENT THERE | Reviewer: bob
------ About the song Never make your move too soon performed by Bonnie Raitt

Three days of snow in a burn'in hell, bet your a wanderin how I am
I rang that number all night long, got no comfort on the telephone
Went out and caught me a midnight flight, thought alittle lovin would make it all alright
The landlord said you moved away and left me all of your bills to pay,
look out baby I think you made your move to soon,
He left me with some cheap old car, livin in Vegas aint to hard
I ran it up to about 15 grand, counted it out and held in my hand
That kind a word will get around, I met the law and they called your bond
Now I hear ya knockin baby at my door, but you don't live hear no more
Hey baby, I think you made your move to soon. Intrumental
Guy sings: I've been from Spain to Tokyo, Africa and Ohio,
I never try to make the news, I'm just someone who sings those low down blues
I take my lovin everywhere, I come back to see if ya still care
One lover here, one behind, one in my arms, one on my mind,
But baby I never make my move to soon
Oh you can count on us darling never make your move to soon.
