The song uses the word "hate". "When the hate you have for one another's past".
But the country is suggested as changing from this "It's the country that's changing"
(and could ultimately change to "the love you have for one another's future"?)

Kids should be allowed to sing and dance, and hold hands and be glad they are in love to this song. And get married and live happily ever after and never mind the yarns of the big bad witch.

I like this song very much and I try to sing it with my pupils here in Russia(I'm a teacher of English). I've even tried to translate it for pupils, but it sounds better in mother tongue. I agree with all the people writing here -this song should be listened in present time. If we won't stop killing the World who will do it?

My son and I were trying to remember the name and artist of this song played a lot on radio a couple years ago. Found it on a cassette taped from the radio years ago, by another artist. Searched internet, I found it on the internet by Boney M. RIGHT ONE. Great song.

This is a beautiful song. I wish it would get re-released by Boney M. Others have covered it but no one so beautifully as the original. I wanted it played at church but no one in the band had heard of it and told me I would have to bring the music in. Unfortunately, that is apparently not available in the USA. What a loss to not be able to share it with others.
