O.K here's the thing:Bon Jovi were faced with a massive task-to follow up not only their biggest selling album, but also one of the biggest selling albums of the 1980's.Once again they stick to the same pop/rock formula on Slippery When Wet,and once again they enlisted the help of outside songwriters[Desmond Child,Holly Knight
and Diane Warren].In retrospect it could all have been a massive failiure, but once again Bon Jovi have made another brilliant pop/rock album,it's pointless listing the standout tracks because
they're all impressive.By this time the band had the right blend between pop and metal, and they also take a few musical chances by showing some of their other musical influences such as Journey,
Dire Straits, and of course,Springsteen. They combine all of these
different elements and still retain a sound that is all their own.For me Bon Jovi write superb, energetic AOR/melodic hard rock
