 Blue Star Drive is a rock quartet originally based out of
South Orange. Formed in late 2001, Blue Star Drive’s singer
Lou Panico and bassist Mike Padilla found themselves
together with the same intentions, to enjoy music. After a
benefit show for September 11th victims, Blue Star Drive
met up with Jason Padilla and created a band called
“Distant Second”. This fantastic trio of cover songs and
local shows quickly led to the addition of another
guitarist. With Brendan Root now on guitar, and the
creation of “Blue Star Drive” that we have all grown to
know and love, Blue Star Drive has become well known on
Genco Records and have released their debut EP ‘Sealed With
A Kiss’ (released October 11th 2003). With influences
ranging from Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, and Saves th More...
