Maybe because you cannot associate with his haunting words, this song epitomises that neglect and rejection from the rest of society, after crawling deeper and deeper into the self perpetuating hole of depression. Good times, that you knew existed in the past, times that you long to hold onto just to get through each day, all of those just vanish, "blow away". You can't sense any good in life anymore, everything is drenched in that sense of apathy you attribute to everything in life. That's what the lyrics mean, and this song is far darker, then even the stuff in Tormented, as it conveys his feelings so emotively, without being ultra explicit. He lets emotion drive this song, which is why the song is so immensely powerful.
