Blood of The Scribe Lyrics - Lamb Of God

Review The Song (8)

All of this comes crashing down,
Cornerstone's gone
Sleepless
Hopeless.
No end in sight.
Ink well has run dry, fill it with blood of the scribe.

Rest comes easy, to the guiltless
The vampire laments, as he prays, for the sun.

Doom, despair, tragedy are the tools of the trade.

Cut to the bone, rob the grave
Unearth the stone, lay to waste.
Defile the tome, rip the page
Strip mine the vein, lay to waste.
Frayed at the edge, flat lined.
The anvil cracks the hammer,
Relentlessly comes down.

A new pariah is born
Cut to the bone, rob the grave
Unearth the stone, lay to waste.
Defile the tome, rip the page
Strip mine the vein, lay to waste.

Chastisement lays you down to sleep, tucks you in with bloody kisses
Gifts of nightmares bitter sweet.

Type A negative shuts me down.
Catch phrase will be death of me.
Is this not what you came to see?
What, are you not entertained?

Climb the walls 'til nails bleed.
Rip the hair, tear the seams, break the glass.
Head in hands, bell tolls endlessly
No end in sight.

american motherfucking metal giants... | Reviewer: rahul negi | 1/7/11

i started listen to lamb of god in 2009 when i turned on radio the song playing was grace it makes me wanna bang my walls grace is now my fav song... After that i downloaded their all albums (sorry... lamb of god but what i could have do... Most of metal music is unavailable in india). I have never heard a band as real as log... It sounds so real... They say effectively what
they're trying to say... And their lyrics are fucking real... It gives me a feeling of euphoria... They spreads awareness about everything organised religions, politics, war... I can't say everything what wanna say abt log in this tiny page... Lamb of god is not an american band this is the band from earth... Long live log... Stay fucking metal... And keep beating our asses with ur motherfucking music... Cuz we are a bunch of fucking rednecks... I hope this year we're gonna listen log's new album... 20\m/ horns up for u everytime...

i hear no slipknot | Reviewer: ben | 11/19/10

I am a maggot, I love Slipknot, but there really is no comparing them with Lamb of God. I don't hear anything in Lamb of God's music that sounds like Slipknot, or any other band for that matter. I've heard Pantera in a couple songs, and the songs of Ashes of the Wake have alot of the characteristics of melodic death metal and Megadeth, but otherwise Lamb of God is pretty original band. Slipknot's music, aside from the three percussionists, doesn't quite have that distinctiveness. It's simply a strong execution of thrash-cum-nu metal with hints of melody. Lamb of God is in a class of their own.

Anyway, Blood of the Scribe is probably my favorite song of Ashes of the Wake as well, possibly barring the title track. It's dissapointing that it didn't turn up on Killadelphia.

The Ink Well has Run Dry... | Reviewer: Malus Rune | 12/5/09

Epic song, epic riffs, epic lyrics, epic vocals. Probably my favourite off Ashes of the Wake, bar maybe Laid to Rest.

And is it just me, but does Slipknot just have a knack of turning up everywhere? It's like a metal version of Godwin's law. As an internet discussion about metal music continues, the chances of a reference or comparison to Slipknot increases towards 1. Huh. Well, Slipknot are an alright band if I want something simple, but Lamb of God kicks their asses, bitch slaps them and hurls them to the other side of the world.

Oh, and Anyonymous-Ryan-B corretor, before you fly off the chain and start calling your fellow fans retards, Ryan B's right here; Chris Adler is the drummer (and a great one too). His brother Willie is their rhythm guitarist, and Mark Morton is the lead guitarist ;)

Some Corrections | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/3/09

There is no denying lamb of god is one of the greatest new metal or as i would call true metal band that has flocked us with undeniably the sickest riffs and mind blowing lyrics but people lets go back to their true name and attitude BURN THE PRIEST !! Blythe my friend we need more heavy shit from u!!!!
Oh and corrections to ryan b. chris adler plays guitar retard!!!

Excellent Band | Reviewer: Ryan B. | 9/7/09

Good, old fashioned, home-grown American metal. Chris Adler is an excellent drummer with some real talent, his style is very off-beat bass pedal riffs, in the style of Tomas Haake of Meshuggah, though not as intricate. Definitely an awesome band with some real skill and a great sound! 8/10.

P.S. Joey Jordison? Really? People listen to Slapknuts still? Awful band.

Best Metal Band of this Generation | Reviewer: ChrisAdlerisGod | 2/29/08

There is no other band out right now that competes with the intensity that LOG show at every concert, album, appearence. I have been listening to them since the days of Burn the Priest. When they used to come to Philly every couple months. Chris Adler has the best technical style I have ever seen. No other metal drummer can compair to his level of abilty. He will forever be ranked in the names of Danny Carey, Dave Lombardo, and Joey Jordison.
Thats all.
All Hail Lamb of God!
