Blew Lyrics - Nirvana

Review The Song (10)

Now if you wouldn't mind
I would like to Blew
And if you wouldn't mind
I would like to lose
And if you wouldn't care
I would like to leave
And if you wouldn't mind
I would like to breathe

Is there another reason for your stain?
Could you believe who we knew was stress and strain?
Here is another word that rhymes with shame

If you wouldn't mind
I would like to Blew
And if you wouldn't mind
I would like to lose
And if you wouldn't care

Another word that rhymes with shame | Reviewer: Natalie | 6/30/14

...is blame, I first thought. I thought it's about relationships but it also be about the way he wants to live life
''...and you wouldn't mind I would like it blew''
I first thought it sounds like blue and it's exactly something he would say but the truth is, we can never know the reasons he wrote this song and it doesn't matter.
Let's just say he didn't want to make it obvious for a certain someone and that it means something else to each person, shall we?

You are stupid | Reviewer: HiHiHey | 3/27/13

This song has nothing at all to do with fame. That's not even a lyric in the song, first of all. This song was created way before Nirvana reached fame. There are a lot of stupid people who think Kurt constantly wrote about depression and fame. He did write a bit about fame on In Utero, after Nirvana achieved great fame, but not before. The lyrics are ridiculously simple and not to be taken as some deep meaning. It comes across, simply, as someone wanting to be rid of someone else.

This song is about getting head | Reviewer: BBX | 5/10/12

This song is definitely about getting head.

Another word that rhymes with "fame" is quite obviously "came", as it is the past participle of "cum", just as "blew" is the past participle of "blow" which means "fellatio".

It makes sense to me, since "Here is another word that rhymes with faaaame" has a pause at the end which is the musical equivalent of reaching climax.

But as others have said, it probably has other meanings too.

Rhymes with shame...? | Reviewer: Milad | 11/6/11

...The only thing I could think of is fame.
I think this song is about being famous and that Kurt didn't like it (If you wouldn't mind, I would like to breathe...),
Buuut as Bri said it can always have more than one meanings.

More than one meaning | Reviewer: Bri | 9/15/11

I think this song has more than one meaning.

I think the intro verses reflect Kurt's view about life in general.

If you wouldn't mind, I would like it blew
. . . I would like it Blew (read Blue)

And If you wouldn't mind, I would like it lose (not loose)
- Kurt's disenchantment with life forces (higher power).

And If you wouldn't care, I would like to leave
- He does not want to seek the traditional path to finding happiness -- he does not want to play the game the most people play.

And If you wouldn't mind, I would like to breathe
- By not playing the game, he is able to be true to his conscience and not worry about hurting people.

Nir Vana | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/1/11

Nirvana is sanskrit for blown. Kurt was a Buddhist and a Jain. He also liked heroin. When you do heroin it's just like how nirvana is described, and it's also called being blowed. This could also be about a relationship.

I dont think its about cocaine | Reviewer: Lucy | 3/23/11

Kurt Cobain has said in one of the interviews he had with Michael Azerrad for the book Come As You Are, that he tried cocaine and speed but he didn't like them. I doubt this song would be about cocaine

Drugs | Reviewer: Benny Slam | 2/15/11

This song is obviously about cocaine. If you wouldn't mind I would like it blew. (Blow)
Is there another reason for your staying?
Could you believe him, when you discussed his stain(Thats the real lyrics)?
Here is another word that rhymes with shame!

Its cocaine.

maybe.. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/6/10

well i cant express my self very good in english and i wrigth very bad.. but when i hear this song i imagine all this rich and fake-polite people being realy ironic strarting a sentence very politely and taking out their masks in the last word.. like when someone is talking to you, being verry nice and pretending to be compreensive but in their minds they are judjing you.. and you do feel that..
that's my meaning to this song..

One of Nirvana's Best Songs | Reviewer: Jack | 3/1/10

This song has a sludgy tempo, unclean guitar, incomprehensible vocals, lyrics that nobody understands, and a thick heavy bass line. In short, it is the definition of Grunge, and is probably my favourite Nirvana song, along with Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle. This song also has 3 tunes in it "If you wouldn't mind i would like the blew", "Is there. Another. Reason. For your stain?" and "You could do anything", all of which i've been singing and humming all day, and a great distorted unclean grungy solo.
