Bleed It Out Lyrics - Linkin Park

Review The Song (41)

Yeah here we go for the hundredth time
Hand grenade pins in every line

Throw 'em up and let something shine
Going out of my fucking mind

Filthy mouth, no excuse
Find a new place to hang this noose

String me up from atop these roofs
Knot it tight so i won't get loose

Truth is you can stop and stare
Run myself out and no one cares

Dug the trench out laid down there
With a shovel up out of reach somewhere

Yeah, someone pour it in
Make it a dirt dance floor again

Say your prayers and stomp it out
When they bring that chorus in

[Chorus]
I bleed it out digging deeper
Just to throw it away

I bleed it out digging deeper
Just to throw it away

I bleed it out digging deeper
Just to throw it away

Just to throw it away
Just to throw it away

I bleed it out
[End Chorus]

Go stop the show
Choppy words and a sloppy flow

Shotgun opera lock and load
Cock it back and then watch it go

Mama help me I've been cursed
Death is rolling in every verse

Candy paint on his brand new hearse
Can't contain him he knows he works

Fuck this hurts, I won't lie
Doesn't matter how hard I try

Half the words don't mean a thing
And I know that I wont be satisfied

So why try ignoring him
Make it a dirt dance floor again

Say your prayers and stomp it out
When they bring that chorus in

[Chorus]
I bleed it out digging deeper
Just to throw it away

I bleed it out digging deeper
Just to throw it away

I bleed it out digging deeper
Just to throw it away

Just to throw it away
Just to throw it away

I bleed it out

I've opened up these scars
I'll make you face this

I've pulled myself so far
I'll make you, face, this, now!!!!

[Chorus]
I bleed it out digging deeper
Just to throw it away

I bleed it out digging deeper
Just to throw it away

I bleed it out digging deeper
Just to throw it away

Just to throw it away
Just to throw it away

I bleed it out digging deeper
Just to throw it away

I bleed it out digging deeper
Just to throw it away

I bleed it out digging deeper
Just to throw it away

Just to throw it away
Just to throw it away

I bleed it out
I bleed it out
I bleed it out

A long time ago i was listening to everything but rock until my radio got stuck on a rock station and linkin parks numb came on and i was like wow, ive been missing this mindblowing stuff since i can remember. So now i listen to this song imparticular when im in a bad mood, going to sleep, playing games and riding my bike cus it gets the adrenalin flowing like no other song ive heard. Ive even memorised the lyrics and im hoping to make a vid with some mates. I realy want to go to a linkin park consert too. I dont know when there in the west midlands uk though.

In response to a previous post, Mike Shinoda was and is the vocalist who does the raps for Linkin Park. In the album Hybrid Theory, the lyrics were at a lower level of maturity (not as in inappropriate, but as in showing less experience and understanding of how life really works). Nonetheless, it is probably my favorite album. HT was targetted more towards teens, relating to them and giving veiled but useful advice and recounts of the members' experiences. Their next album, Meteora, was a massive jump in the maturity of the content of their lyrics. The concepts and subjects were more in depth, subtle, and advanced. Still, by Meteora, Linkin Park had yet to use a single cuss word in thier lyrics. Their third album, Minutes to Midnight, was targetted towards young adults. LP's targetted audiences change as the members mature. MtM had many topics previously untouched by Linkin Park. It included well-used topics such as love and relationships, as well as violence. However, it's new topics included things like politics, as in Hands Held High and No More Sorrow. This new development showed that they had reached an apex of maturity in their content. They had strong opinions on their content, so a few cuss words emerged as a way to better convey feelings and the strength and conviction of beliefs. Although a few words were used, in truth, there not many. Those that were used were used to show that a song was written in anger, such as Hands Held High. They also emphasized the severity situations could reach, as in Bleed it Out. Given Up was more of a combination of these two. It is also notable that no two songs that have these words are about the same topic. LP does not uselessly and needlessly throw these words around. They take a stand in a song, may use a cuss word for reassertation, and then move on. The other songs about that topic do not need cuss words because the tone and mood has already been set and portrayed in another song.

i was shocked when my friend told me this was LP. sure, i love this song, but thier older styles with Numb and In the End are just so different i didn't relize it was them... i didn't like there other song as much(never rly been into the whl quite, lyric stuff... :P) and so i find myself saying "i miss the old LP" which is a step away from "back in my day"... i'm fifteen! i'm not an old fogey! am i? excuse me, i am going to reclaim my youth.

Smart... | Reviewer: Ross | 7/22/08

but the new rapper sort of swears alot to make a good song but the old rapper, mike shinoda never swore in a song of his. still this song is good, very good.

^^^I hope you realize that he's still in the band and it is in fact him who is swearing...

What? | Reviewer: Sano | 12/9/07

I don't know what everyone's going on about, this sounds like the LP I knew and loved back in the day. In fact I happen to like this song. It's like a hyped up rap version of Faint and a Dropkick Murphy song. LP is well known for its Call and Response techniques in their songs. Faint, In The End, Numb all those songs have it just like this song does. Only instead of keeping it the same they gave Mike Shinoda a bigger role for once. I especially like the beginning lyrics, very good. This is more like sidestream if you get what I'm trying to say? Haha.

Great Song, Could use some adjustments | Reviewer: =) | 11/9/07

People always seem to get wound up on these things =)
Gives me a giggle to read about people going out there way to find songs that they dislike and to say bad things about it. Usually in extremely bad spelling as well !
Remember those who leave bad comments , i doubt the band/s would come onto this site to get feedback , the feedback they receive is by selling concert tickets and CD's =)
Great album this one
Just hope they decide to tour in Scotland
Been looking around and only saw it in England.
