Big & Rich Lyrics

When John Rich met Big Kenny in 1998, both had been through
the record industry wringer. Rich had been in the country
band Lonestar before launching a brief solo career. Big
Kenny didn't become a full-time musician until he was in
his 30s, but a big record deal and the ensuing album went
nowhere, so he launched a wild outfit called luvjOi.

A friend tried to drag Rich to one of Kenny's shows at a
Nashville club; Rich's response, he says, was "Big what? I

------ About the song Holy Water performed by Big & Rich

The first time I heard this song I feel like the world stopped. They hit the nail on the head. I was raped. I was beat. I was neglected. I need someone to hear me when I cry. This song makes me feel like someone actually "gets it". I feel like I matter and it wasn't all for nothing. I'm a better person because of my life experiences. I know I'm not alone and I understand now more than ever that these situations where not my fault. Thank God above for the lyrics of this song.

answer to Kris Kristofferson question | Reviewer: Sean
------ About the song 8th Of November performed by Big & Rich

RE: sam johnson's question as to what Kris Kristofferson says as the intro to this song. Here it is, transcribed directly from the song:

"Hello, I'm Kris Kristofferson. On November 8th, 1965, the 173rd Airborne Brigade on 'Operation Hump,' war zone 'D' in Vietnam, were ambushed by over 1200 VC. 48 American soldiers lost their lives that day. Severely wounded and risking his own life, Lawrence Joel, a medic, was the first living black man since the Spanish-American War to receive the United States Medal of Honor for saving so many lives in the midst of battle that day. Our friend, Niles Harris, retired 25 years United States Army, the guy who gave Big Kenny his top hat, was one of the wounded who lived. This song is his story. Caught in the action of kill or be killed, greater love hath no man than to lay down his life for a friend."

------ About the song Comin' To Your City performed by Big & Rich

The reason they made the songs was most likely for fun. They are a great band, and you shouldn't be bashing them for one song, No one said they couldn't make songs that are different than anyone elses. Who cares if they "rap" like you guys are saying, It's great music and People out there actually love them.
