Review about Ben Folds songs
My Experience With This Song | Reviewer: T. C.
------ About the song Still Fighting It performed by Ben FoldsHi, I heard this song for the first time last year on a video in class called, "Let's Fight It Together" It was about cyberbullying. Let me tell you, I haven't seen the video or heard the song since that day, and I still remembered it enough to look it up and see if I could find it. I loved the song and the video because I'm frequently bullied and I understand the meaning behind the lyrics. Amazing song and great usage in the video. I wish there were more people out there with the talent to write things like this. There were some of the biggest jerks in that class and after watching the video, some of them were even crying. More people need to hear this and see the video.

Abortion is not a choice | Reviewer: Judy Gallagher
------ About the song Brick performed by Ben FoldsBack in the day women had abortions due to social stigmas, now they have them for convenience. You can prevent pregnancy by many means so lazyness does not make abortion a form of birth control.
Just so everyone is aware - | Reviewer: Phil
------ About the song In Between Days performed by Ben FoldsThis song was not written by Ben Folds. It is a song by the British band, The Cure. It appeared on their album, Head on the Door, in 1985. Great song, but credit needs to be given where it is due.
still sad afer all these years | Reviewer: sad noodle
------ About the song Brick performed by Ben FoldsMy ex (current at the time) had an abortion 17 years ago. It was the saddest, hardest thing we went through. No one gets an abortion "for fun."
Years later, when I first heard this song, I broke down. Hearing it again today, makes me break down again.
I didn't need to ask or look up the meanings, it spoke to me immediately.
Pacing around the parking lot, buying flowers, feeling alone.
If you're a man or woman and you love(d) the woman who went through having an abortion, it touches you equally, and it stays with you for life, especially if you don't have children of your own.
Food Chain | Reviewer: KB
------ About the song There's Always Someone Cooler Than You performed by Ben FoldsI think this song is about how even though we all treat eachother like shit, there is still someone cooler. I might be cooler than you, but you're cooler than someone else and there is another person cooler than me. Its about how we're all connected. Its like a social food chain. There will always be someone cooler than someone.
I relate | Reviewer: DBender
------ About the song Brick performed by Ben FoldsI had an abortion when I was 26 for a million reasons. Right or not. Do I regret it? I can't say. I did the best I could at the time. 26 years later my 17 year old daughter made the same choice for her own reasons. You can damn us to hell or say we can't truly believe in God if we made this decisions but we are believers. Sin is sin we are all guilty of it. If any one of you that sit in judgement are free of sin you alone can cast the first stone. This is ours to carry everyday for the rest of our lives. I understand this song in a way no one else can unless you have lived it. Judge me I don't care. But know this, there is always a consequence. Abortion doesn't get rid of the consequence it just changes it. This will ache in my heart until the day I face God and make it right. Until then I am grateful that the God I know is a loving, merciful, grace filled God who suffers my pain with me and longs to make me whole.I asked for forgiveness. God granted it. If you don't agree I don't care.

------ About the song Brick performed by Ben FoldsProlifers end most of their arguments by declaring prochoicers to be baby killers. Not easy to overcome that stigma. A lot of pro life people just do what the church they were born into tells them to do. I don't like killing babies. Well, I haven't done it, but it doesn't appeal to me. From what I hear, abortions are also miserable experiences. The truth is, none of us can really know what we'd do when confronted by that situation until we are confronted by that situation. Because of this, I believe that mothers-to-be should be given a choice.
Judgmental | Reviewer: BC
------ About the song Brick performed by Ben FoldsI have an amazing thought, an American idea, a what would seem to be a basic Christian value all wrapped in one idea based on the following: the song is about abortion. It's a great, powerful, and moving song - certainly for anyone who's ever had a similar experience.
Are you ready for the idea? Here it is: mind your own business and keep your self-righteous judgement to yourself. Enjoy the song or don't, but do not assume you or anyone else has tue right or place to judge others decisions - especially if you've never been down that road. Otherwise, you're talking out your backside.
It's a big idea, but it does encompass personal choice and compassion for others. WOW, big concepts!
i was worried there might not me anything at all inside... | Reviewer: Lou Lou
