Born on August 17, 1958, Belinda the daughter of Walt and
Joanne Carlisle would go on to become one of pop rocks
biggest stars. After graduating from Newbury Park High
School in 1976, Carlisle frequented a lot of Hollywood's
clubs. It was here that she met Charlotte Caffey, Jane
Wiedlin, Gina Schock, and Kathy Valentine. They formed the
Go-Gos in Los Angeles in 1978 and was the first successful
all female band of the 80's. Their first album "Beauty and
the Beat" was a hit, followed by the less successful
