Low is the Bowie Album | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/26/11

This album is possibly the nearest we ever get to David Bowie. It reeks of depression, sadness and pain. I believe that is how he may have felt at that time of his life. The lyrics are so stripped and bare. The music is just brilliant. Slabs of sound which exist because the musicians made them like that without to much regard to conventional 'pop' songs. Undoubtably a serious work of art.

Its 2:56 of pure pop perfection...a wonderfully desperate track, with pristine and compelling guitars and one of Bowie's most measured vocal performances ever..'Low' is Bowie's best work in my opinon and while its abstract at times, it seems that on this track and the sublime 'Sound And Vison' Eno and Bowie seem to remind us almost for the hell of it, that when they aren't leading us into the void the result is somewhere just a little left of heaven.

so original, maybe not now but when I heard Low album for the first time in 1978 it was scandalous and hard, I love this album cos its getting older very well like goos wines.
