I don't think there's a single A7x song that isn't pure awesome... Everytime I hear one, I can't stop playing and singing it. Bat Country is really top class stuff... Insane guitar solos, fierce drumming and a very talented vocalist. I totally agree with the comment titled 'can't help to just love this band'. A7x, please come to South Africa!

They are truly amazing... I started kayaking and play them on my mp3 player every time I'm on the water and there is really no feeling like it.

I especially like the lyrics that go "I'll make a beast out of myself, gets rid of all the pain of being a man." because scientific researchers have proven time and time again that the primary reason for war amongst humanity is due to the evolution within male testosterone levels. It's obviously more complicated than that but you get my drift. And yes A7X did point at the war and U.S troops in the song Critical Acclaim and probably several others.

They are one of the only bands who's style truly evolves in such a unique way. Personally there is not even one track on Waking the Fallen & on Nightmare that I don't just want to repeat to over and over again, and I love all the other albums just as equally. What I also like about them is that they are not one of those overly popularized bands that pose and are over the top in fame and in your face trying to be different. A7X are just genuinely talented and skilled and that's what got them millions of albums sold worldwide. Interestingly I first heard of them by word of mouth back when they had released City of Evil and have been a serious fan ever since. Korn was also on my top list but something about new Korn just puts me off but maybe it’s just me. Also A Perfect Circle are incredible. I listen to Mozart and also a lot of New Age stuff so sort of weird like that.

The REV has truly inspired me to learn how to drum soon when I can make enough money for lessons. May he rest in peace and may he be remembered by the world as a true artist. I hope his spirit lives through the band members so they may continue to create such incredible music and tour the world! South Africa especially please!

I'm glas there is so many A7X fans on here. I myself am a very big fan. I love them they are in my "big four". Metallica, Megadeth, Judas Priest, and Avenged Sevenfold. The only critcism I have of them is that I wished they had released more albums. But they rock and they are kickass and beautiful I'm lucky I got to see them in concert last weekend rock on A7X we love you \,,/

I really like the City Of Evil album cause M. Shadows changes his vocal technique. in the past, he would use more Metalcore techniques like screaming. I think prior to this album, the only songs without screams are Warmness on the Soul and I wont seee you tonight Part 1.

avenged sevenfold has been my favorite band for like 6 or 7 years!! (: if anyone ever asked me who do you perfer or who would win i will alwayz and foREVer say avenged sevenfold because they are amazing and everyone shuld like them no matter what kind i=of music they listen to !! Why are we compairing A7x to MCR? They are two totally different bands!
I, personally love them both, but thats just my oppinion. Other people might not agree with me, and that is their oppinion, and I respect that. But, you can say a band sucks just beacuse you don't like the way they sound. Everyone has different musical tastes, and I wish people would stop bashing on bands they don't like.
Support the bands you do like, and leave the ones you don't alone.

i agree metal is not about studs and leather and all that Bullshit (none of the black metal i listen to is either same goes for death metal) metal is a lifestyle as much as it relates to politics and if you just look behind the lyrics and all the angry shit(which is awesome) you'll see the metaphors behind some of the stuff

Metal is not to wear studs, have leather clothes, playing loud music and so on ..
They are as much about emotion, politics, religions, and other things like any other music genre. Maybe in Black Metal you care about clothes and makeup, but idk...
I personally am not one like that really big fan of A7X, so can not call them the best band in the world, but not the worst band that is... :)
So to say that all metal is about that, then you do not know what you're talking about... :S
Dress how you want, feel a compulsion to have black clothes, black makeup, then you are weird.
But this is just how I see it, is certainly someone else out there who does not think like me!

I really don't care what people say about the music i listen too. Okay so A7X got a little softer... SO WHAT your saying that in order to play metal you need to wear make up and spikes and leather. Personally you have no idea what your talking about because last time I checked The Black Dahlia Murder Is Metal and they don't wear any of that shit and you should probably know that Queens of the stoneage didnt make another one bites the dust.

Yup, this song is most likely about Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. It could just be about any general bad acid trip though and they just based some references off Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, that idk. But from a trippers perspective, I really wouldn't be surpised if members from Avenged Sevenfold have or do drop acid lol

personally i think this is about Hunter S. Thompson himself rather than just his book, 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas'. He shot himself, hence the lyric 'My hand is on the trigger I'm ready to ignite'. He was a fantastic author, shown by 'All these good ideas will tear your brain apart'. Finally, he beat his wife and had loaded guns in his house, this aspect of his personality is highlighted by 'He who makes a beast out of himself, Gets rid of the pain of being a man'. That's all folks.
