Review about Badman's Song boys in 628 | Reviewer: jenn | 3/10/09 From what I remember from an interview with Roland Orzabal years ago about this song it was about an actual incident that took place on tour. He overheard a couple of roadies I believe in the room next door talking about him in a not very favorable way. I think it's about seeing yourself in someone elses eyes for the first time, like a mirror held up...but also about how someone's view of you can be distorted when they don't know all the facts and gossip is spread by heresay. How can you defend yourself? Great groove, and great vocals from Roland and Oleta Adams. This whole album brings back memories of a study abroad that I did in college. I remember listening to this album while riding trains all over Europe. It has a very strong nostalgic effect on me even now when I hear it.
