Sublime Badfish Lyrics

Last updated: 04/16/2011 11:00:00 AM

how's it goin dude?
Hey man what's up?
tell Todd he can turn the radio back on

When you grab ahold of me,
you tell me that I'll never be set free.
but I'm a parasite,
creep and crawl I step into the night.

Two pints of booze.
Tell me are you a badfish too?
(are you a badfish too?)
Ain't got no money to spend.
I hope the night would never end.

Lord knows I'm weak.
Won't somebody get get me off of this reef?

Baby you're a big blue whale
grab the reef when all duck divin' fails
I swim, but I wish I never learned,
the water's too polluted with germs.
I dive deep when it's ten feet over head.
grab the reef underneath my bed.
(underneath my bed)

Ain't got no quarrels with God,
ain't got no time to grow old.

Lord knows I'm weak,
won't somebody get me off of this reef?

I gotta go dude

Just another anthem for those of us who know that we drink too much, pour away the struggles of another hard day, shot after shot we tick while the clock continues to drink, knowing this lifestyle cant function forever, but fuck it enjoy it while you can.. get sick of the life? Badfish was a beautiful song, and brings back many great memories for me. Sublime's music is, and always will be, in my music collection. Sublime was a part of the parties, youth, and fun for me and my friends. Bradley Nowell, you are missed until this day.

Still going strong! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/5/07

Released in 1992, this album still gets radio play in every major market in the nation and multiple stations within those markets. I always do say that some bands were to great too last. Most notably (to me anyway) from this time period Nirvana and Blind Melon. Each with a lead creative member of the band desiring the pleasure of recreational drugs for escape of reality, rather than accept the pains of life. Sublime is no exception. Very tragic to loose these bands yes, but what they left behind was fantastic music.
