Back to My Roots Lyrics
Performed by Lucky DubeReview The Song (14)
I went to a party they organize
They said it's gonna be right there
But when we were at the party
I was disappointed
All we could hear there was their crackadoo
All we could hear there was their
Shoo-bee doobee
And the music they played there
Was not good for a rasta man
Was not good for any ninja man... and now
Chorus: (x3)
I'm going back to my roots yeah yeah
Reggae music is all that I need
(x3)
Reggae is mine reggae is mine yeah yeah
Reggae is mine reggae is mine yeah yeah
Reggae is mine yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah

I thought Dube was mine | Reviewer: Danny Kurupani | 11/24/11
Though i'm not an african, i am still da same colored skin to those like Africans. The only music ever heard too long and the singer heard of by everyone was Lucky Dube, and i thought he was from where i come from, and took him as one of my senior local artists. Papua New Guinea across the Pacific is a long way away from Dube's origin but the love of his music has made me to be one of his, his origin. Dube is part of my blood and as long as i breath, he reigns. I love you my brother.

I don't think I can afford forgetting my ever loved reggae artist (LUCKY DUBE) again in life. I was in a studio, recording one of my musics when the sad news of his death was announced as it appeared on television, immediately I heard it, I instantly lost my ability of singing. I heard that the people who killed the man thought he was a nigerian. Anyway, may his soul rest in peace - amen. But to those three murderers and there colleagues/ planners I say: may God judge them accordingly.

Reggae Ambassador | Reviewer: Laulas xpress | 12/2/09
I knew Lucky Dube when i was 8. He is my favorite Artist in the planet. "You are considered as a ambassador for peace.
You are one of the biggest heroes in the wold.
Your messages touch everybody's hards. It' not good to see someone fighting against corruption and discrimination, at the end ...............(let you finish the sentence)
We love you Lucky, whatever, you steel remain in our hard"
Always remembered, thanks for the music | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/29/08
Lucky, too young plucked from us. You brought hope to the ghettos band reconciliation to your former oppressors. I have no doubt you would have become a UN ambassador for peace and reconciliation if only you were still among us. Thanks for the music and the wonderful lyrics. Always fondly remembered by the Mullen family, Dublin, ireland and Alkmaar, Holland.
