Review about Babylon Born down Pill we are the roughneck scouts | Reviewer: David Williams | 8/27/2007 I come from the Newport area and there are a few dodgy areas like Pill which Benji is singing about. Skindred are a great band who sing about their home City, The band are proud of their roots but also tell a few home truths about how bad the area of Newport is. Pill is probably the worst area and is still as bad as ever even though there is a Police Station at one end of Pill, CCTV on the streets and regular police patrols. The Newport Music scene is good thanks to venues such as The Basement, Meze Lounge, TJ's, Riverside Tavern, Newport City Live Arena and Newport Centre. Well done to Benji and the Skindred boys for making it big and good luck to the new album out 22nd October. Is this review helpful to you? Yes No this is one brilliant song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/20/2006 skindred come from newport, which is where i go to school, and you really get a sense of their anger at this stupid, behind the times chav hole, but also share with them some kind of pride at coming from such a screwed up place. babylon is an excellent rant at the racist newport piggies, and it showcases the band pushing their current potential. hearing this song live is like getting kicked in the head. in a good way :P Is this review helpful to you?
