Baba O'Riley Lyrics
Artist(Band):The Who
Review The Song (96)Print the Lyrics
Out here in the fields
I fight for my meals
I get my back into my living.

I don't need to fight
To prove I'm right
I don't need to be forgiven.
yeah,yeah,yeah,yeah,yeah

Don't cry
Don't raise your eye
It's only teenage wasteland

Sally, take my hand
We'll travel south cross land
Put out the fire
And don't look past my shoulder.

The exodus is here
The happy ones are near
Let's get together
Before we get much older.

Teenage wasteland
It's only teenage wasteland.
Teenage wasteland
Oh, yeah
Its only teenage wasteland
They're all wasted!

Money not 'wasted' | Reviewer: Cass | 10/2/09

I recently bought the album Who's Next and Baba O'Riley is the first track. I heard this track a short while ago as the theme music to CSI New York and had to get it. I got it on Amazon for the grand some of £3.68 including P&P. Brilliant. I now have it as my cell phone ring tone, on my computer, and my MP3.
It should only be heard with the volume set to max in my opinion. There's a short piece in it where it's just the electric guitar playing and it makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck! This trcak is,in my opinion one of the greatest examples of stadium rock ever.

For Erin | Reviewer: Max | 10/1/09

Erin, the young population as a whole has been misled on the meaning of that word. They don't mean it as to be homophobic, they don't even know the meaning of the word. They only use it as a term of disgust for people because that is what they have been led to believe it is.I have firsthand experience on that, as I am only 14 myself. I hope you understand.

Don't mix the Who with Football | Reviewer: Callme Lennie | 9/30/09

Where were you in '72. I was inhigh school and all we did was listen to "Who's next" We were Irish Catholic kids so Baba O'Reilly was our tribal anthem. I remember this song was played right before we went out to play for the football Championship for the state of Arizona

Turned out to be an unwise choice because "out there on the field, we fought for our meal" and our opponent "ate our lunch" They most definitely "put out our fire" and turned our offense into a "Teenage Wasteland" We were shut out and held to four first downs. But after the game "Sally took my hand, and we traveled south crossland" if ya know what I mean. Look at the time. I guess the "Exodus is near" TTFN

Fantastic! | Reviewer: Erin | 9/15/09

The Who are fantastic! I don't exactly like the comments left by anonymous, the 13 year old girl, though on the subject of 'faggots'. She has great taste but she shouldn't be homophobic, and she should know a bit about Pete Townshead if she likes this band so much and his own sexual identity. Maybe it would make her a little more tolerant.

The Best | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/29/09

Im a 13 year old girl and i've been listening to the who since before i was born. along with the ramones, the police, david bowie, the beatles the band, and so much more great music........... and I'm glad that teres other people out there that like the classics. all those fags who like hannah montanna and the jonas brothers are brainwashed fagets.

What more can really be said | Reviewer: Nyarlathotep | 6/25/09

This is basically me in total agreement with everything said. The Who are truely and honestly rock-GODS, their music will, in the distant futre, still be regarded with and given the same respect as any classical composer that anyone can name. Total respect... *bow*

The Best | Reviewer: Dave | 6/23/09

The Who is the Best rock band of all time. I saw them in Detroit last November and the old guys hadn't lost any energy or entertainment value. Pete was jumping and Roger was swinging the mic. Baba O'Riley is one of their many classics. The lead in sets it apart from any other song then or now. Meet the new boss, same as the boss. The Who are great.

god of music | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/7/09

the who is and will remain the epitome of what an unadulterated rock music represents. it had an awsome collection of talent possibly the best there ever was.baba o riley is an orgasmic pete townshend rendering.
