This song made me cry when I first heard it. It still gives me such a nostalgic feeling whenever I listen to it. My grandmother, cousin, and uncle have passed on, and someone else who is so important to me is so far away, I hope to see him again someday...But even if I don't, my memories with them all will always be in my heart. The tune is very beautiful too. I think this is now my favorite JPop song.

Hope this helps. (also, it may help you to know that I have studied Japanese quite a bit in the last 10+ years. This is a very difficult language to learn if you lack discipline! lol) Great job otherwise! Keep it up!

It's already been said but Smile.dk sang this song, not Ayu-chan. How can anyone get them mixed up? Ayu-chan can't speak it well at all =/

I don't have any hard evidence about who this is by, but having studied japanese for five years, i have to say that the pronunciation of words such as "japan" and "samurai" really don't sound as though they were spoken or sung by a native japanese person. I have to agree that is highly unlikely this song is sung by Ayumi, and will continue to believe that until someone can convince me otherwise.
