This was the song that got me hooked. It's a great song. There are many things to love about it. The band uses insturments like trumpet, violin, and many more. You don't see many rock bands that have the courage to do something like that. When they do it though, they still are able to keep it rock instead of it turning into a classical song, which could very easily happen. Another thing is their use of a girls voice, which is very effective for this song, as well as many others. Seriously, 3/4 of all of these comments aren't about the song; they're about some 11 yr. old faggot who thinks that their the coolest person in history because they listen to A7x in 7th grade!.. If you're that awesome, why do you need to come to a lyrics site and brag about how 'different' you are; and what an 'individual' you think that it makes you? If you're a true fan, you don't have to say so; and if you're so into the music, then why don't you actually say WHY you like it?! Don't say, "Oh, this song is awesome because Syn does a cool solo!" or, "Because the singing is awesome!" because those are not valid points. For instance: I like this song because it keeps up a pretty frantic pace between the rhythm guitar and the drums through the verses; but the lead going over it kind of keeps the melody intact. The harmonizing guitars and backing vocals give it a sweet sound (most likely harmonized in 3rds; as is typical of A7x) and add to the overall vocal melody through the verses, respectively. Through the chorus, Synyster keeps his guitar lick going at a slightly faster speed then through the verses, which I think gives it a bit of character and something for the other instruments to build off of. Quick left-turns after the choruses sound a bit out of place; but leading into the second verse it fits a little better and brings the song back up to speed. Overall; I give it a 6.5/10. Not their best; but it still gets a good groove going and keeps it throughout. Is it THAT hard to sound like you know what you're talking about when you say that a song is good?! So, shut the fuck up about how cool you think liking the band makes you; and remember that, if you are so fucking cool; you shouldn't be so needing of approval that you post pointless shit about yourselves in a place wherein nobody you ever see there will ever see you in the real-world, so even if they do accept you; it's not gonna matter. I got the free promo sticker from hot topic before the album even hit the stores. After listening to the album over and over, I ventured back. I've loved them ever since. People fight for their beliefs, each side swearing on their gods that they are doing the righteous thing. The reality is that these wars are waged by the rich, and it's the poor middle class that's sent to fight. We get the proper training to survive certain situations and scenarios, but what really happens is usually far from expected. people get rattled, make mistakes. Or, they get all gun-ho and think they can fight everyone. these people almost always die. The ones that survive, either hate themselves soo much later on, they get all these problems like PTSD. Others revel in the fact that they could take a life and become crazy. ALL OF THEM! even if they don't show it. But it's the ones who hate themselves that suffer the most. On either side. Human nature is to survive. this does not mean that all humans are meant to be fighters. Bottom line. Soldiers are nothing more than legal murderers, and most go in to do something good for their country. The realization is a much darker reality, and people should realize that these men aren't heroes for for doing what they do. They merely survived.
