The image of Australian Crawl as fun-loving,
sun-worshipping, playboy musicians radiating a healthy aura
and rebellious charm did much to instill a deep attraction
and sense of loyalty into the band's many fans. That, and a
series of a finely crafted, accessible albums and singles,
ensured that Australian Crawl became one of the most
successful bands of the 1980s.
The members of Australian Crawl all hailed from the Mount
Eliza area on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria.
Australian Crawl came together in late 1978 after James
Reyne and Simon Binks' first band Spliff Rouch broke up.

Review about Australian Crawl One of the Most Under-rated albums of 1985, albeit understandably | Reviewer: Anonymous
------ About the album Between A Rock And A Hard Place performed by Australian Crawl
This record is really james Reyne's first solo album, the reasons are many, the results/record reflects the lack of creative cohesion the band was experiencing, the only member of the band that really wanted it done (as is) was James, and Bradford by default sort of.
HAVING SAID THAT..2 Hearts, MyDay At The Beach, Always the Way and Trouble Spot Rock... are different but fucking fabulous songs and recordings, or is it overrecordings?
