The song, for those of you like me who had trouble understanding it, derives from Matthew 18:10-14, wherein God expresses his love for all those who are lost. It is like a shepherd who has a hundred sheep, but feels happier about finding the one that has lost. It is a beautiful song that always brings tears to my eyes, and reminds me of when I lost a beloved pet.
