IMO, the only other band evenly remotely comparable was Pink Floyd when it comes to ignoring the current trends and creating music that is far ahead of it's time. Anyone into industrial/electronic music should be issued SP albums as prerequisite listening (though it raises the bar high enough that most other industrial can't add up!)
