This is a great some and certainly worthy of the 1981 academy award for best song. I heard or read somewhere during the writing of the lyrics, that one of the composers was on a plane at night circling over NYC for a long time, gazing at the Moon and NYC and that it was in that moment that the words in the song ..."When you get caught between the moon and NYC....I know it's crazy, but it's true, If you get caught btween the moon and NYC, the best that you can do, best that you can do is fall in love...." ..were written. It is a wonderful story and I'd really like to know if it is true and if so, who is the writer who had this experience and is credited for these words? Burt Bacharach???? Christopher Cross??? Peter Allen??? Thanks so much!!!!
