It all began at the end of the '90s in a small Australian
country town with a teen funk-grunge band called The Pixel
Mittens, which featured core Architecture In Helsinki
members and longtime friends Cameron Bird, Jamie Mildren
and Sam Perry. The three pals outgrew the limitations of
rural living and moved to Melbourne to have some fun. After
the high school band burnt out, flamboyant lead singer
Cameron, who was often seen on stage riding exercise bikes
and conducting audience workout sessions, needed to branch
out; Primus and Led Zeppelin were no longer doing it for
him on a spiritual level. It was then he met a folkie who
diverted his taste and inspired him to learn how to play
guitar while she was out at work in the evenings.
It may take a while to appreciate this band's sound, but once you do it's like a shotgun shell. Their first album was very lackluster and too static for my taste. Their second and third albums however couldn't be any more dynamic. Their poppy originality is better than anything out simply put. Their originality is what sets them apart. I gaurantee you have never heard anything like this before

------ About the song Heart It Races performed by Architecture In Helsinki
What kind of a lyric is this? Pure trash. Magical, slightly psychedelic, pulp trash lyrics. I TOTALLY love it. The film clip is a magical fantasy. Like Gilligan's Island (or Danger Island ?) on LSD, maybe?
The last time I liked an Oz pop band this much they became Eskimo Joe.
Can't wait to hear the new album.

------ About the song One Heavy February performed by Architecture In Helsinki
This is a great song. It's innovative, refreshing, and happy. The only criticism I would have would be that it's a bit short. Keep it going, AIH!!
