Aqueous Transmission Lyrics
Artist(Band):Incubus
I'm floating down a river
Oars freed from their holds long ago
Lying face up on the floor of my vessel
I marvel at the stars
And feel my heart overflow
Further down the river
Further down the river
Further down the river
Further down the river
Two weeks without my lover
I'm in this boat alone
Floating down a river named emotion
Will I make it back to shore
Or drift into the unknown
Further down the river
Further down the river
Further down the river
Further down the river
I'm building an antenna
Transmissions will be sent when I am through
Maybe we could meet again further down the river
And share what we both discovered...
Then revel in the view
Further down the river
Further down the river
Further down the river
Further down the river
I'm floating down a river
I'm floating down a river
I'm floating down a river
I'm floating down a river

Review about Aqueous Transmission
f | Reviewer: Samm | 7/3/2008Nah i wouldnt say incubus are like muse either. they are both a little alternative, thats about it. however, muse are one of the greatest bands around and have been for along time, and to say they have nowhere near the talent of incubus is painful. incubus, brilliant as they are too, are far more simple than muse. makes for easier listening.
my favorite incubus song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/4/2008
The first time i heard this song i knew i had to hear it again. it is so calming and soothing. there is absolutely nothing wrong with this song and i actually love the way that Brandon stretches the word "river", it makes the song flow very well. i just love his amazing voice, i would have him sing to me every night if it was ever possible, plus he's hot.
:] | Reviewer: Kaycie :] | 4/3/2008
I think this is the most peaceful song Incubus has ever recorded, I listen to it every night before I go to bed and I close my eyes and it just makes me feel so soothed, theres nothing i could hate about this song :)
Liquid reverie | Reviewer: Glam Bastard | 1/6/2008
The Pipa is the soul of this song... if they hadn't included it and had used, say, a guitar or harp the song would have suffered and not be as peaceful or beautiful.
LUEicide: Thanks for the info. Seriously. I've always wondered what that Chinese instrument was called. I've known what it looks like but never knew the name.
um ya | Reviewer: vikki | 12/30/2007
LUEicide | thanks for letting us all know that thats frogs at the end of the songs because im pretty sure we all could have figured that one out???
too beautiful for words | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/30/2007
The thing I like about this song is how you can just turn it on, lay down, close your eyes and be taken with it.
It has this amazing beauty about it, Brandon's voice doesn't overwhelm it either, it becomes part of it... he knows to how control his voice and when it's needed.
To be honest there is no one word which can describe this song at all, it is really too beautiful for words I believe.
The thing that annoys me is that this song is so touching, yet people out there will take a listen to the start and dismiss it because it's "too slow"
so really, this song is like a little Utopia to those who appreciate it.
Once again, beautiful song, Incubus truly are amazing song writers.
hits home | Reviewer: Joe | 12/23/2007
This song really hits home for me personally, and Incubus has a really strong influence on me as well. Very well played and soothing. It is one of those songs that, if you hear it and don't know who sings it...you just have to find it and download it. It is infectous...and Echo is the same way.
What? | Reviewer: mark | 11/29/2007
No, muse is nowhere near the same style. I am a HUGE fan of incubus, they are my absolute favorite band, but I cannt stand muse. They do not have NEARLY the same amount of talent as incubus. The vocals are completely different as well. Brandon Boyd has a much more polished voice. There is no correlation between liking incubus and liking muse. Ass.
Verrrryy nicely done. | Reviewer: Mansoor | 11/29/2007
Overall, I give it a 9.8/10
The music is great, best part about the song. I love it's oriental flavor.
The singing is really nice too. He overdoes it, though, when saying 'river' for the second time in each stanza of the chorus. Also, when he says 'view' in "And revel in the view."
He should let his breath flow a little more smoothly when stretching words that long.
I love Incubus | Reviewer: Emilie | 11/27/2007
I saw them live at download festival and it was absolutely amazing...though the only band that has ever had the upper-hand is muse. If you like incubus, you'll love muse. I promise. They deserve more attention to their fantastic music, just like Incubus does.
I love this song almost as much as the warmth. It's so calming and pure.
