American Music Club Lyrics

American Music Club was one of my favorite bands. Needless

Warner Brothers. Singer Mark Eitzel had been named Rolling
Stone's 1991 Songwriter of the Year and the band's fifth
album Everclear was named among the year's best albums

American Music Club 'Cape Canaveral' | Reviewer: Jay
------ About the song Cape Canaveral performed by American Music Club

I've played this album and song so many times, I can't even remember. It has always reminded me that the seeds of the end of a relationship are always at the beginning, and that relationships will never give us what we truly want.
You can hear the bruised heart in Mark Eitzel's vocals and you know it's completely authentic. There's a kind of paralysis in the rhythm that slowly rolls on, with synths washing in and out of it. I've just come out of another relationship and, like all the others, the words ring true yet again. A masterpiece in songwriting which stretches throughout the entire album.
