American Aquarium is an Indie-Rock Americana band out of Raleigh, North Carolina. Having been together since the Fall of 2004, American Aquarium has seen multiple line-up changes, but still maintains founder and lyric writer, BJ Barham and drummer, Reid Shalvoy as original members. The most recent line-up has been permanent since the Fall of 2005 with the addition of Zack Brown and Nevin Dawson. American Aquarium, known best for their high-energy, face-breaking live performances released their debut album on a limited run February 3rd, 2006 and promptly sold-out within a week. Having released the CD on a larger scale, the album, Antique Hearts, has been praised by critics...and yes, the band name is from a Wilco song.
