The line: "But she won't keep on waiting for you without a doubt Much longer for you to sort it out" just seems to jump out at me every time I listen to this and think about him. But I always DO keep on waiting... :\ I just wish I could get to the end line where it says "Maybe you lost her to another"... My take on All At Once | Reviewer: MDW | 3/12/09 To me this song is about a guy who has a friend who has always been there for him and has been a rock in his life. He has had failed relationships and keeps returning to this friend for support and the friend is always there for him. He starts to wonder if the friend could be the one for him, but is constantly comparing to others. I think with really good friends, you reach this level of comfort that doesn't feel "new" anymore. When you meet a new person, that initial attraction is what feel so good, when it is gone is when realationships begin to fail. The friend is considered not an option becasue of this lack of newness. However, other people (the crowd) see what he doesn't see, that the friend is right for him. It has always been in his mind subconsciencely, but now he is actually thinking about it, giving it deep thought and consideration. He is trying to figure out if her wants her or needs her, it is both.
