Don't try to wake me up
Even if the sun really does come out tomorrow
Don't believe anything you say
Anymore, in the morn, in the morning
Bricks to this old house are breaking
Steel would have weathered but now forlorning
It's alarming how loud the silence screams
No warn, no warn, no warning
Addictions fill the table where the family used to sit
And conversate
Conversate to the sounds
To the sounds of a record player
With it's jumping needle and the lights that grow dim over time
With downcast eyes
There's more to living than being alive
With downcast eyes
There's more to living than being alive
Are you where you thought you'd be
So beautiful and only twenty-three
Opposition rests in the hearts
With no, with no, with no opportunity
It's not that we don't talk
It's just no one really listens and honesty fades
Like a politician lost in the course
All smiles and no one remembers our names
With downcast eyes
There's more to living than being alive
With downcast eyes
There's more to living than being alive
With downcast eyes
There's more to living than being alive
With downcast eyes
There's more to living than being alive
Don't try to wake me up
Even if the sun really does come out tomorrow
Don't believe anything I say
Anymore, in the morn, in the morning
With downcast eyes
There's more to living than being alive
With downcast eyes
There's more to living than being alive
With downcast eyes
There's more to living than being alive
With downcast eyes
There's more to living than being alive

Review about Alexithymia Lyrics are correct | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/25/2007
These are absolutely the lyrics for Alexithymia. I am listening to the song right now and have the lyric book that comes with the CD (if you don't simply download it) in front of me. There are only two mistakes in these lyrics: "its" should be used in the phrase "with its jumping needle...", not "it's". That mistake is quite common - students in particular make that mistake all the time when writing essays. The other mistake is quite understandable, as Anberlin uses a pun here. Near the beginning of the song, they say "in the mourn, in the morning." The word "mourn," not the abbreviation of the word "morning," is used here. Otherwise, the lyrics are correct.

In the song "Reclusion," it's fairly obvious to identify the song because they use the word "seclusion," PLUS the lyrics match the title. The song describes trying to hide sins ("Sins like skeletons are so very hard to hide").
and these are the right lyrics. I have the cd and I was wondering why everyone kept posting the Inevitable lyrics to Alexithymia.
Meh, whatever, I love this song. =D

Not Sure What You Have Heard, But These Are The Lyrics To Alexithymia.
The chorus is "with downcast eyes" not "we're downcast out", at least, thats what im hearing. And I keep seeing Alexithymia posted with lyrics from the song Inevitable, Im pretty sure anyway. Purevolume.com has alexithymia on it now and the lyrics for it aren't as posted here. Thanks.
