Alberta Bound Lyrics
Artist(Band):Paul Brandt
Sign said 40 miles to Canada
My truck tore across Montana
Ian Tyson sang a lonesome lullaby
And so I cranked up the radio
Cause there's just a little more to go
For I'd cross the border at that Sweet Grass sign
I'm Alberta Bound
This piece of heaven that I've found
Rocky Mountains and black fertile ground
Everything I need beneath that big blue sky
Doesn't matter where I go
This place will always be my home
Yeah I've been Alberta Bound for all my life
And I'll be Alberta Bound until I die
It's a pride that's been passed down to me
Deep as coal mines, wide as farmer's fields
Yeah, I've got independence in my veins
Maybe it's my down-home redneck roots
Or these dusty 'ol Alberta boots
But like a Chinook wind keeps coming back again

Review about Alberta Bound
Saskatchewan Bound | Reviewer: Evan | 4/10/2008
I am from Saskatchewan But I absolutely love this song. Everyone from Saskatchewan is always saying Alberta brags too much, but after hearing a song like this it really can make a person want to move there.
Amazing song | Reviewer: Jillian | 3/27/2008
I'm from Alberta and this song for me when im coming back from where ever it is i was
this song just makes me feel so relaxed like everything is going to be ok
although at the same time it makes me home sick.....
however i do have to say that these lyrics are terrible i mean i know the song well enough to know that these are NOT right like seriously if you have ever heard that song you would that these lyrics are SOOO off its not even funny
I <3 Alberta | Reviewer: Amanda | 11/22/2007
I'm from Texas, but a Canadian has my heart. He was there all summer and this was the song that got me through it. It feels like I can't get there soon enough, and i can't wait to make it my home. It is absolutely the most amazing place on earth. The song still makes me cry
Pride | Reviewer: Alberta Babe | 9/21/2007
This song touches my heart everytime I listen to it. What he caputrues in this song is unbelivable. I am very proud to have this man singing about my province. I have lived here all my life. You are always tied to alberta where ever you go, a lesson my good friend Sydney learned when she moved to Alabama. This place will always be her home.

Alberta Bound | Reviewer: Sarah | 7/28/2007
I have lived in Alberta for about 6 years now.....originally from BC...and I have always wondered what is so special about Alberta(being from a province with lots of mountains, water bodies and green beautiful scenery) but I am slowly starting to see the light....and how gorgeous and flavourful Alberta really is. This song hits it right on the nail head.

I wish there was a B.C. version of this. I actually like this song. Good lyrics, pretty good music for country.
Paul Brandt will always be number one for me | Reviewer: Ian | 4/14/2007
As an independence minded Albertan this is the anthem of the greatest distinct nation in Canada. This song captures everything I love about my country of Alberta. The lyrics are powerful, Paul Brandts voice is amazing and the melody is outstanding, but so are almost all of this Albertan artists songs.
I like Paul Brandt's voice | Reviewer: mel | 5/14/2006
From when I heard his voice on the radio, (93.7 JRfm) I absolutely knew that I would love any of his songs and my favorite song is I'M GONNA FLY.
