There's no point in getting hung up about weather they're metal or not, just listen to the music. At most you can call it alternative, because their genre is almost indescribable since their songs are extremely experimental and variant. Second off, real metal would be along the lines of Slayer, Iron Maiden, Children of Bodom (as much as they are starting to suck), Zyklon, Vader, Therion, and so forth. On this song, it is really good, very relaxing type song and the lyrics are well-written. Another good song in their best album, Toxicity. "Big Mind", "Small Mind"... check out master Shunryu Suzuki who talks about these principals. Also the waterfall analogy... I recall reading about this in a book somewhere that a Buddhist master was teaching a student about how we are all "one" before this life, but during this life we struggle like drops of water as they fall from the river over a waterfall, but are one again after they join back into the river in the end. Your parents will find out eventually anyway, and it's just music.
