Don't try to wake me in the morning 'Cause I will be gone -(meaning he'll be dead) I just wanted to say this because tons of people are putting theories out and, of course I can't be certain because I'm not the writer of the song, but I am almost positive of the meaning because I feel the exact same way. Also, about the Perks of Being a Wallflower, I thought that the other of that book was extremely creative in putting that song into the book because I think they relate so well and it's interesting to find something outside of the book that seems like it's just another chapter or something... great book if you haven't read it, I recommend it. And to be honest this song, is just so good. It related so much to the novel, same with the other songs. I'm so glad I have read it. I'm now going to have to re-read the novel soon, since i'm entering High School just like he did. This song, just makes me think of a better world. It's nice and peaceful.
