In the late 80's, I had a chance to meet my childhood hero name Eric Clapton here in Anchorage, Alaska. He just came into the town without notice. I met him in the local bar. He was looking for or get a information about his late dad. Obviously I had know him during my childhood in Nelson Island area. I did written a song titled "Alberta" during my high school years down at Toksook Bay after I briefly attended Bethel Regional High School. That is where I got to know Alberta Foss, obviously I was just another Yup'ik native. Just like any teenager, I began to wrote a song in 1978-79. I introduced myself to Eric, I was Paul John from Newtok than. But I used the name of "Huddi Ledbetter" for that particular song. The reason why I used that name was to protect Eric from certain militant group in U.S. Military. I also considered myself as C-12. Obviously Eric Clapton did wonderful job recording that song the way it was. This song was written for Alberta Foss orignally Bethel,Alaska. It is a love song for her.
