Are Not Enough, on their own Neutron label. It reaches
number nineteen.

1982 The follow-ups - Poison Arrow, The Look Of Love and
All Of My Heart are all top ten successes. Their Trevor
Horn produced debut long player The Lexicon Of Love reached
number one in the album chart. The group embark on an
ambitious world tour and release a spy movie called
Mantrap.

1983 ABC return as a trio after drummer David Palmer's
departure to Yellow Magic Orchestra. That Was More...

Censorship? Watch a live version of ABC singing this and you will see that the last line spoken by Martin Fry is "Americans, RESISTED" not "enlisted." Subtle change in lyric gives two entirely different messages.

The "anonymous" reviewer from 7/9/2004 was obviously none other than Martin Fry. The lead singer for ABC. Nice try though Martin. Good review mate! lol
Be Near Me was the best song ABC ever put out. Poison Arrow got so much air play in the 80s if I ever hear it again im going to throw myself on one. With a broadhead hunting tip on it.

Perhaps one of the best singers out of the eighties, pure class, incredible voice, so artistic, so pure...Martin Fry and his group had the look the talent, and it will be a long time until another band can even come up to their complete fantastic standards. Just saw them and going to see them again at the Hollywood Bowl. When Martin Fry performs, it is as if he means every word he sings...just simply fantastic, their lyrics are simple and get the point across so well.

I heard this song for the first time today and I thought it was simply smashing! Truly I had a corking good time! The lyrics are subtle yet sublime, simple yet sophisticated, sharp yet soft. The lead vocalist's voice gave me shivers, particularly on the high notes. He won my ha-ha-heart! I so wish I was alive at the time.
