A Song For Departure Lyrics - Manic Street Preachers

Review The Song (2)

And all the masks I carry on my face
For you, for another
Some calm and then some grace
But once within a long and broken night
A face like mine, bereft of dreams and white

This is a song, this is a song
a song for a departure
This is a song
This is a song, this is a song
a song to take you homewards
This is a song

Maybe this strangeness only ever was
To hide ourselves from some kind of happiness
But always the moment it just seems to stay
Tearing it off like so many calendar days

This is a song, this is a song
sponsored links
a song for a departure
This is a song
This is a song, this is a song
a song to break your heart to
This is a song

This is a song, this is a song
a song for broken lovers
This is a song
This is a song, this is a song
a song to take you homewards
This is a song
This is a song, this is a song
a song to break your heart to
This is a song

Beautiful and epic, a truly masterful song. I love it every time i hear it, so powerful with it's piano lines and lyrics 'this is a song to break your heart to', every true. One of my faves from one of the favorite bands ever.

No departure, an arrival! | Reviewer: Magnus Ydhag | 11/26/2004

One of the strongest songs ever from MSP! I just canĀ“t stop listening to it and it feels in my spine that this is "one of those songs", one of those you wont get tired of after 50 listenings or so. This song is up there alongside with "no surface all feeling", and that says the most...
Yours sincerely//Magnus
