A Punchup at a Wedding Lyrics
Artist(Band):Radiohead
no x42
i don’t know why you bother
nothing's ever good enough for you.
(by the way) i was there and it wasn't like that.
you’ve come here just to start a fight
you had to piss on our parade
you had to shred our big day
you had to ruin it for all concerned
in a drunken punch-up at a wedding
yeah
hypocrite opportunist
don't infect me with your poison
a bully in a china shop
when i turn ‘round you stay frozen to the spot
you had the pointless snide remarks
of hammerheaded sharks
the pot will call the kettle black
it’s a drunken punch-up at a wedding yeah
oh no no

Review about A Punchup at a Wedding
Song meaning | Reviewer: Martin C | 7/14/2008The lyrics to the song actually relate to a negative review Radiohead got from an Oxford show they played 7th July 2001. The band had really enjoyed playing the show and Thom took offence at the review leading to the line "you had to piss on our parade, you had to shred our big day".

heard that there was a song on Hail To The Thief about how Thom got beaten up. people were saying its A Wolf At The Door, but i'm pretty sure its Punchup. the lyrics speak literally as a reflection and a story.
