Review about A Day in the Life a day in the life | Reviewer: sarah jane | 11/5/2008 i took it completly different. you see, it starts out with a suicide, then a sad movie, then a man leaving for work, then counting potholes. whcih begs the question; the relevence between them all. now i know what this means but i wont write it. the beatles songs are filled with mystery and truth. everytime you listen to them you find something new. i won't take that away from anyone. just please give them the respect they deserve. See the sentiment and the feelings of their songs. No one in the history of modern music comes close to them. This song may be one of their best. It is about how Paul felt when he got up in the morning rushing off to school, how most people are going to work... everyday people. The absurbity of having to count potholes in streets... 4000 of them too boot! a gross waste of manpower for what? Life is too short and what are we doing? Are we actually living or just doing?
