5606 is a three-piece powerhouse of rock. The band started 4 years ago on the streets of downtown San Jose when a couple of friends put some money together and got the basics for a rock n' roll band: A guitar, bass, and drums. As the years passed and 5606 developed many exciting accomplishments were achieved. The first big accomplishment was an article in the San Jose Mercury News, then
San Jose Metro reviews, national act shows and finally commercial radio airplay. 5606 is making their mark in the bay area. In the past year 5606 has received regular airplay on a variety of stations such as; Clear Channel 104.9, Santa Cruz's KMBY 103.9, Santa Clara University KSCU 103.3 and San Jose State KSJS 90.5. 5606 has opened for various National Headliners like Rufio, Yellowcard, Tsunami Bomb, and Alien Ant Farm etc. On any given weekend you can see them perform at various bay area venues. 5606 is definitely defining a new style of Bay Area rock. From the influences of the nineties 5606 combines their various talents to create one of the most infectious and solid bands of today. * Guitar and Vocals: Eric Ventimiglia has had an internal niche for music since the age of 7. His ten years of strong piano background have layered the foundation for a musical guru. At the age of thirteen Eric was first introduced into the bay area local band scene as a powerful guitarist and strong vocalist. Since then the scene has risen and fell but 5606 is thriving. This Pop/Rock band is on their way to sharing their infectious music with the rest of the world. All they need now is a stage to play on and people to amaze.
* Drums: Kevin Bligh, the entertaining yet solid drummer of 5606 has been playing drums for nearly 5 years. Surprisingly Kevin remained undiscovered until the summer of 2003 when guitarist Eric Ventimiglia spotted his intense talent and charismatic personality. Kevin's contagious character adds flavor and fun to 5606.
* Bass: Michael Reynosso is the style and excitement of 5606. Since early childhood Mike has been a true performer. Sure he plays the bass, but more importantly he gets on the stage and puts on an amazing show. Mike's original style and mysterious flare add so much to the animation of 5606. |
