Even though I left halfway through the show (because it was too late, 1:00 on a school night, lol) I must say I absolutely love their music. They're not just any punk band (with so many punk bands out there...) and it's not just the fact tht unlike the other bands they have a violin. It's the whole package that is awesome and well...I hope they keep their promise to come back... Yellowcard is the greatest band on earth, BUT their newest cd "Lights and Sounds" is not quite as good as the last three they put out. The got rid of the best guitarist ever (Ben Harper) and that is why YC sounds so much different from their last three cd's (well, cd to those of you that aren't hardcore fans and know that they actually have 5 cd's now)Their first cd sucked. Mostly because the current singer Ryan Key was actually not a part of the band then. Their last 3 cd's were FUCKING AWESOME and had the most amazing sound. Everything fit and it was so peaceful and upbeat at the same time. It was so great to listen to. I NEVER went a day without listening to them. Then I bought their new cd and listened to them and the new guitarist doesn't totally suck, but the problem is, the drums and the violin doesn't go with it anymore. They just aren't as fun to listen to anymore. They are SO selling out and I absolutely hate that. There aren't very many YC fans around here. Most of us (actual fans, not people that like their popular songs) range from age 16-21. Most of them lived in Florida for a while and people in Florida (most) don't even know who YC are. That's insane! But anyways, I guess that's all I have to say, I just had to get that off of my chest. It makes me so angry that they would sell out like that. The guitar is awsome, the drumming in my opinion Longineau Parsons is the next John Bonom cuz woah, the lyrics are the best i've ever heard i mean you can compare with any song, the lyrics are real good like deep and affectionate and not cheesy in any way. And to top it off the violin is the icing on the cake, seriously it gives the songs a more dramatic sound. They've literally changed my life around. Ever since i started listening to them i've been more cheery and found my place in life, and because i've made tons of new friends and i don't care what people think of me anymore.
