Totally sick | Reviewer: Zac | 2/14/2007

I always hated punk and similar music but after listening to Ocean Avenue my eyes were open to how great the genre can sound and how truthful and touching a lot of the songs can be and this song is a prime example of such a thing, great if you're happy or depressed, chech it out.

Ocean Avenue | Reviewer: i <3 yellowcard | 2/7/2007

I first heard ocean avenue when i was in 3rd or fourth grade. loved the song i heard it on the radio all the time, and loved the music video. the lyrics to this song almost made me want to cry, the lyrics touched me so much. A few months ago (november 2006) i was looking through a map and i found the street ocean avenue. And i started singing it all over again and fell in love with it all over again. I went on itunes and i couldn't remember the name of the band. The i whispered yellowcard! so i typed it in and i wasn't sure of the titles name either. But once the name ocean avenue popped up i was like yes and i downloaded it right away. Becuase of this i went on AOL music.com and found other songs of thier like Only One, Way Away, Beleive, Rough Landing, Holly and Lights and Sounds. I watched the Rough Landing, Holly video and i was instanty hooked. I also reconized it becuase of the kissing chain and when Ryan key was on the hospital bed and the guy pulled out a 100$ bill. Ever since i listen to thier music everyday and i totally recomend listening to other sings of thiers. but ocean avenue will always be thier best song!

Good job! | Reviewer: Lam | 1/28/2007

Nice job!
I love the song, too.

Life | Reviewer: Son of the South | 4/5/2006

I think that Ocean Avenue is a prime example of how Yellowcard can write about potentially upsetting situations and turn it into a great song. Other examples include Breathing and View From Heaven. The latter is especially important to me, as it basically describes a girlfriend I had once. Anyway, check them out.

Many of Yellowcard's songs can pull you up if you're upset or hurting, as they show you that you're not alone - everybody hurts.

I'm also 16, and I also had to say goodbye. A tip: don't let it happen to you.

Yup Yup Yup | Reviewer: ryan | 12/19/2005

yellowcard has finally done it. This song and the whole album are awesome. yes they do have the violin, but thats not what you notice. you notice the amazing lyrics about the bands problems and life in general. this song is yellowcards breakthrough and completely different in a very good way from their old stuff. i really like it.

p.s. if you like yellowcard check out relient k, they're awesome
